Denise Doyle's favourite genre is horror. As a child, she loved watching old hammer horror films and became addicted to reading all the stories Stephen King has written over the years.
She enjoyed writing short stories and poetry in school and was in awe of Shakespeare's metrical patterns as well as his melodramatic scenes.
When Denise made the decision to do something she always loved... she started to write her first book, The Celtic Curse: Banshee, using her pen name D.J. Doyle. Irish history and mythology are strong elements in this book and that theme will continue for at least another two books.
She lives in Co. Kildare in Ireland and is an Associate Manager in a large global consultancy firm in the Business Operations dept. Her dream is to write full-time, to be able to share all the stories in her head with those who want to read them.
